Shane Carey – PGA Professional
Shane was introduced to golf at a young age by his dad. At age 21 Shane decided to turn pro and start his training at Cobh Golf Club in County Cork where he enjoyed 5 years learning all aspects of the game including coaching , retailing and day to day golf operations.
Shane qualified from the PGA national training academy in the Belfry in 2016 becoming a full PGA Member while also receiving a degree in sports science and professional golf studies from the University of Birmingham. He then decided to take an opportunity to move to Saudi Arabia and work as a PGA Professional.
Shane moved back to Ireland in July 2019 where he has now started working at Lahinch Golf Club in the new golf academy.
Shane believed that everyone is uniquely different and so no two swings are the same. Each golfer has unique strengths and limitations and Shane takes these into account in each and every lesson in a simple and effective manner.
