The Cups Of Lahinch GC

A Dazzling Array of Trophies

The sparkle and shine radiating from the many trophies on display in the clubhouse brilliantly reflects the faithful manner in which they have been assembled and maintained almost from the day the Club was founded. It is unlikely that such an array is to be found anywhere else in the world and is a lasting legacy to the wonderful traditions of Lahinch.

Not surprisingly, the Club is especially proud of those dating back to its earliest days. The Phelps Vase was presented by Ernest Phelps in 1896 and was followed almost immediately by the Shaw Cup, the McDonnell Cup, the Visitors Cup, the Matterson Cup and the Golf Links Hotel Cup. There has been a steady flow ever since, many honouring people who laboured hard and generously to help Lahinch enjoy its modern-day eminence.
