Our Mission
Lahinch Golf Club considers sustainability to be a key priority in the running of the Club and is a contributing factor to all decisions made by the Club. The Club recognises the importance of it’s contribution to wider society and the effect the game has on nature and resources, delivered by ensuring the Club provides a positive sporting, environmental and social legacy for future generations. The Club is committed to protecting the areas of the course which are rich in Flora and Fauna through the design and management of both the Old Course and Castle Course. The Club aims to conserve scarce resources and utilise others in an efficient manner to ensure the sustainability of Lahinch Golf Club for many years to come. Lahinch Golf Club believes in supporting local businesses through its purchasing policy to use suppliers in the locality whenever possible.
2022 Projects
Eliminating the Use of Single Use Plastic Bottles
Lahinch Golf Club is committed to reducing the amount of waste onsite and in a bid to reduce this the club will be ceasing to sell single-use plastic bottles across the facility in early 2020. Filtered water filling stations will be installed in the clubhouse and at regular points on the course to cater for the needs of both our members and visitors to our club. This step alone will reduce the number of plastic bottles being disposed of across the facility by thousands every year.
