Introduction
Making sure you have the right golf clubs for your game can be just as important as your swing itself. We believe every golfer should have the correct equipment regardless of age, level or ability. Our range of custom fit experiences are all designed to ensure your equipment is right for your game. We will not advise you to purchase any equipment in the absence of obvious benefits to your game.
We fit the leading brands in golf; Callaway, Titleist, Mizuno, PING as well as Vokey wedges and Scotty Cameron and Odyssey putters therefore offering a wide selection of clubs to find the right clubs for your game. To ensure your clubs are exactly what you need we will even invite you back for a Distance Mapping session with our compliments when you purchase clubs direct from us.
Full Bag fit and Part Fit
You will want to bring your set of clubs with you for the Pro to initially assess what you currently have been playing. This will also serve as a good comparison to what the benefits will be as you test new equipment in finding the exact fit. Both a visual look at your posture and set up along with a static test will be done initially. You will then hit balls using the TrackMan4 Launch Monitor. Then depending on your TrackMan numbers our fitter will give you a series of combinations of heads and shafts, monitoring each combination and pin pointing your exact fit. This process takes approximately 2 hours per set of clubs excluding putter.
IRONS: Iron fittings have a few more considerations than a driver as you have the short, mid and long irons. As of recent times you now have hybrids replacing long irons so the gapping and specific lofts need to be carefully considered. With our knowledge of how to give you a greater ability to improve control and accuracy by adjusting spin characteristics and launch and lie angles, we will maximise the performance in your irons. We offer an extremely broad selection of the best that the major manufacturers have to offer in shafts and heads, so that we can help dial in your game as precisely as possible.
DRIVER: With the new technology in driver head adjustments it usually takes the whole hour to dial in the exact shaft, loft and lie of the new drivers. Since all drivers use graphite shafts which have a multitude of different characteristics and the heads have so many possibilities it takes time to get the combination correct. It is also another reason why it is so important that you have an expert club fitter who has many years of experience and is educated with all the newest technology.

Wedge Fit
Wedge fitting and gapping should also be considered when optimizing your set of clubs. We are the only golf club in Ireland to have the Vokey SureFit wedge fitting system. As Advanced Fitters for Titleist, the selection of shafts and heads in both Left and Right Hand guarantees you’ll get the best possible fitting. SM7 SureFit wedges incorporate an adjustable hosel to accurately fine-tune loft/lie without the use of a loft/lie machine.
There are so many options of lofts and bounces these days that it often becomes very confusing as to what you should be using. By today’s standards most pitching wedges are around 45 degrees of loft, give or take one degree. Your sand wedge gapping needs to be even amount between them and the pitching wedge for example. 47 degree PW, 53 degree gap wedge and 59 degree lob wedge. That would be a 6 degree gap between each club. Some players prefer a 5 degree gap while others like to carry 4 wedges and have a 4 degree difference between them. These options will all be discussed with your fitter. The amount of bounce on each club needs to vary as well depending upon your swing shape, talent level and the turf you hit from.
Putter Fit
The Putting Lab is a state-of-the-art facility offering a customized fitting experience tailored to each individual golfer’s putting needs. We use Sam Putt Lab in our studio and have a large 10m x 7m indoor green with Puttview. Sam Putt Lab captures vital information about your putting stroke, such as face aim, path, rotation, timing, dynamic loft and the impact spot. Within seconds the system gives you individual feedback in easy to understand graphic reports which can be used for coaching and putter fitting. So, if you want to get the ‘right putter’ or the ‘right stroke’ a session in the studio is a must.
The putter is also the most used club in your bag and you will take more strokes with it than any other club. For that reason, you owe it to your game to get properly fit.
Retro-fitting
Over time, the specifications of your clubs can change through wear and tear or your new set may not be suited to you. This can negatively affect the shots you hit. Retro-fitting takes your current equipment and adjusts it to your game making sure you get the most out of it. All aspects of club set up are covered in our retro-fitting services including:
Loft: This has a large bearing on distance. The incorrect set up can lead to losing as much as 20/30 yards. These bend over time and can be adjusted. | Shaft flex: If shafts are not suited to a player, it’s harder to time shots properly and can ingrain swing faults. Shaft can soften over time. |
Lie: How upright or flat clubs are is a major influence on strike and accuracy. These can change over time. | Grip size/type: Weather conditions, wear and tear and how often one plays and feel preference determine which grips suit best. |
Shaft Length: How tall a player is and the model of club used plays a big part in choosing the correct length of shaft. | Club gapping: Fitting for a consistent gapping between clubs instils confidence in distance control. |
