The Club recognises the importance of the Club’s contribution to wider society and the effect the game has on nature and resources, delivered by enduring businesses which provide a positive sporting, environmental and social legacy for future generations. The Club are committed to protecting the areas of the course which are rich in Flora and Fauna through the design and management of both the Old Course and Castle Course. The Club aims to conserve scarce resources and utilise others in an efficient manner to ensure the sustainability of Lahinch Golf Club for generations to come. 2020 Projects
Eliminating the Use of Single Use Plastic Bottles
Lahinch Golf Club is committed to reducing the amount of waste onsite and in a bid to reduce this the club will be ceasing to sell single use plastic bottles across the facility in early 2020. Filtered water filling stations will be installed in the clubhouse and at regular points on the course to cater for the needs of both our members and visitors to our club. This step alone will reduce the number of plastic bottles being disposed across the facility by thousands every year.
Using Bio-Products for Cleaning Purposes
Lahinch Golf Club is no longer using chemical based cleaners on the premises. Since late 2019, we have been using a bio-product which is more environmentally friendly as it doesn’t put harmful substances into the water system. These products are used throughout the clubhouse and our on-course facilities.
